MADISON, Wis. -- The Dane County Impeachment Coalition is making a push to get the City Council to reconsider a resolution calling for an impeachment investigation against President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. There were not enough yes votes to pass the motion a few weeks ago, so a petition has been started to ask the council for a re-vote, WISC-TV reported."For this group to say, 'Oh, impeachment doesn't have much to do with city government' means they don't know what the hell is going on in this country," said Buzz Davis, of the Dane County Impeachment Coalition and Veterans for Peace. If another vote to impeach is taken at the next council meeting, it will be considered advisory and does not force the House of Representatives to take action.
