A 63-year-old man died on Saturday after a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Montrose.

Dane County Sheriff's officials said that the man was pinned underneath his ATV after apparently crashing the vehicle at Observatory Road and Highway A.

The man was taken to University of Wisconsin Hospital and later died from his injuries.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The name of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification of family, WISC-TV reported.
