Francine Tate was last seen leaving a prayer meeting at the Mad City Church office.

Family spokesman Dee Thompson said the money came from personal donations and a corporate gift from American Family Insurance, where Tate's husband works.

The Dane County Sheriff's Department said Tate and her husband took in a stranger they knew only as Randy the night before she disappeared. They met the man through their affiliation with the church.

Dane County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said Randy is not a suspect but police would like to talk to him. He was seen leaving Madison alone and is thought to be headed toward South Dakota.

Authorities searched Token Creek Park on Friday. Some of the harder-to-reach areas were searched on horseback, WISC-TV reported. Tate said she might go to the park just before she went missing Tuesday night, police said.

Schaffer said nothing in the Tate case leads them to suspect foul play, but they can't rule it out.

Police said they are still looking for Tate's burgundy 1997 Toyota Corolla with Wisconsin license plate "WKV 929."

Authorities said Tate was last seen wearing a collarless light-colored shirt and dark shorts. Police said that anyone with information is encouraged to call the Dane County tip line at 608-284-6900.

Police said people can visit the Web site FrancineTate.com to find information or a printable flier to distribute in their own communities.

Family and friends gathered in Sun Prairie Friday night and held a vigil to pray for Tate's safe return. The vigil mass started at 7 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, which is where Tate's parents belong. Her mother was a teacher in Sun Prairie and her father is a minister.

Hundreds of parishioners attended the vigil to support the family, WISC-TV reported. Tate's family said that after days of searching, Friday's vigil was a time to gather and regroup.
