The Associated Press reported that Clear Channel Radio will hang on to its Air America affiliate on 92.1 FM after all.

The report said the station decided to hang on to the progressive talk format after overwhelming negative reaction to a planned change to Fox Sports Radio.

Air America supporters participated on Wednesday in a mock funeral procession and presented Clear Channel station managers with a petition signed by 4,500 people who opposed the change.

An announcement could come as early as Friday, WISC-TV reported.
