Remaining Cows Auctioned Online

Posted: 1:18 pm CST November 11,2006

Madison's CowParade reached its final stop Friday night.

The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board auctioned off 44 cow statutes that were decorated and displayed around Madison this summer. The cows were on display from June 3 through Oct. 13.

In all, 101 cows were on display, WISC-TV reported.

Starting Nov. 11, people can bid online for the remaining cows. The online auction, which will run about two weeks, can be found at the CowParade Wisconsin Online Auction Web site.

Proceeds from the CowParade auction will help build the new American Family Children's Hospital and will also benefit other local charities.
