Drowned UW-LaCrosse Student Had .32 Blood-Alcohol Content

Preliminary tests show the blood-alcohol level of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student who drowned in the Mississippi River was 0.32, according to the La Crosse County medical examiner.

Lucas Homan, 21, of Brookfield was reported missing Saturday night. His body was found Monday morning.

Further toxicology reports will be available in about six weeks.

His official cause of death was ruled a drowning.

A vigil was held for Homan Wednesday night at Brokkfield Central High School. His family and friends said he was loved and will be missed.
