10-year sentence in fatal OWI crash

WAUTOMA, Wis. -

A Berlin man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for a fatal drunken driving crash.

Prosecutors said Max Winkel had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit for driving when he crashed into another car in September 2011 and drove off.

Devlin Klein was killed in the crash. Two others were injured.

WLUK-TV reported the 20-year-old Winkel was sentenced in Waushara County Circuit Court Thursday.
