A large concrete block fell off a dam in southeastern Wisconsin and injured one person.
Dodge County authorities said maintenance work was being done on the block when it fell Thursday in the Village of Hustisford.
Sheriff's Lt. Scott Smith said the block trapped a person. Several fire departments, EMS and police agencies were at the scene and were able to free the person.
The injured person survived but no condition report is available.
Authorities were working to get a large crane from Milwaukee to the scene, but the rescue was completed before the crane arrived.
Department of Natural Resources dam experts were at the scene. Authorities said there is no significant danger of the dam breaching.
