TOWN OF TRENTON, Wis. -

A man was rescued out of Beaver Dam Lake early Saturday morning by two Dodge County sheriff deputies, a Fox Lake police officer and a neighbor after he drove his ATV off the ice and into open water, according to the Dodge County sheriff's department.

The sheriff's department first received a report of a man in the water on Beaver Dam Lake in the Town of Trenton about 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

According to the sheriff's department, a Fox Lake police officer got there first and used his thermal imaging camera to determine a man was in the water about 300 yards north of the Hickory Point Road landing.

Sheriff's officials said two Dodge County deputies arrived and found the man had driven his ATV into the water.  The ATV was submerged, and the man was standing on it to keep his head above water.

The three officers used a roped floatation device to pull the man out of the water, according to the sheriff's department. The man was taken by ambulance to Beaver Dam community hospital.
