'Miss Bum Bum' contest seeks Brazil's best butt
More than 500 women enter each year for title of cutest derriere
Brazil is gearing up for its "Miss Bum Bum" contest -- a nationwide competition to find the country's cutest derriere.
The country's best butt will be chosen from 27 competitors, one from each of Brazil's states, The Huffington Post reported.
Residents then vote online for who they think has the best "bumbum," the most commonly used word in Brazil to refer to someone's posterior.
Fifteen finalists will travel to São Paolo in November for the "grand finale."
According to the New York Daily News, more than 500 competitors enter the contest each year before being narrowed down to the 27 contestants.
Last year's winner, Rosana Ferreira, claims she got her champion backside with the help of ballet.
