MADISON, Wis. -

Some customers of Old National Bank recently had payments or automatic transfers processed twice, according to an email to the affected customers.

The company said the issue started with one of its vendors.

“We are diligently working to credit your account for this duplicated transaction,” the email said.

Officials said the credits should arrive in accounts by Friday, and any customers who incur fees because of the problem should contact Old National client care center so the fees can be reimbursed.

Indiana-based Old National Bancorp announced in January that it was acquiring Madison-based Anchor Bancorp through a stock and cash merger.
