Main News Anchor: WISC-TV, Southern Wisconsin’s news leader, is aggressively looking for an Anchor/Reporter to lead our 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. We are seeking a strong journalist to champion our newscasts on TV, online and through social media. Qualifications include anchor and reporting experience, proficient in live shots, strong writer, and ability to work with others in a deadline situation. We place a strong emphasis on enterprise reporting and expect this person will break stories. Minimum of 3 years anchor experience preferred. Investigating reporting experience is a plus. Executive News Producer: WISC-TV, Southern Wisconsin’s news leader in Madison, is aggressively seeking an Executive Producer - Nightside to help lead our news staff. Working closely with our established management team, the primary responsibility of this position is to help create, develop and implement strategies to improve our news product and ratings. In addition, the right candidate:
• Makes decisions relating to coverage, content and implementation of show direction.
• Works with multi-media reporters/photographers to determine direction of stories and expectations.
• Works closely with news team on coverage, story selection, live coverage, assignment of reporters and crews.
• Collaborates with producers on rundowns, story selection, formats, graphics, content, and pace & flow of newscast.
• Works with digital team members to meet online, social, and mobile goals.
· Develops special project coverage for station initiatives.
• Leads long term planning for news coverage and sweeps periods.
The ideal candidate will be able to supervise, coach and motivate team members and collaborate with the News Director on a wide variety of issues. We prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field and previous news management experience.
Bureau Multi-Media Journalist: WISC-TV is aggressively searching for a multi-media journalist with the ability to tell compelling stories. This person will be responsible for independently operating our Rock County news bureau in Janesville, located 30 miles from Madison. Duties include turning stories on a daily basis, live reporting and covering breaking news situations. We are looking for a creative storyteller who has the ability to find enterprise stories and deliver them to multiple platforms. In addition to our television newscasts, we place a strong emphasis on our award-winning website, htpp://www.channel3000.com, our social media efforts, 16 area community websites and our growing mobile digital content. We expect this position to provide on-going content contributions to all offerings. This position includes weekend and evening hours and requires primary residency in Rock County. Qualifications include a degree in Journalism or related field or some newsroom experience that ideally includes on-air reporting and photography work. The ideal candidate must feel comfortable working in an independent environment, be committed to developing sources for stories, and possess a desire to become an active member of the community. We also require knowledge of journalistic standards as they relate to on-air presentation of news stories, accurate and comprehensive writing skills, and an ability to generate story ideas.

Television News Producer: WISC-TV is actively searching for a News Producer to help lead our team at the #1 rated station in Madison. We need a newsroom leader with a proven ability to deliver a high-quality, high energy newscast which appeals to our local audience. Specific duties include working closely with the Executive Producer and Managing Editor to determine content needs and story ideas on a daily and long-term basis. The ideal candidate will write clearly for multiple platforms, including our website. Social media proficiency is required.
