DEPARTMENT AS WE SEE IN THIS WEEK'S MOTORING WITH
WE CHECK OUT THE 20-14 TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX.
this is a big truck, it is a big truck
FACELIFTED FOR 20-14 INSIDE AND OUT, THE TUNDRA CREWMAX
LINE IS A RUGGED BIG TRUCK IN A CROWDED FIELD.
there are a lot of big trucks out there comparable
really in format to the big trucks from ram, ford
a very refined big truck.
you hate to muss it up and work with it though, you
don't want to throw lumber in the back.
it's very untruck like, yes it is there's nothing
trucky about any aspect of this.
it's a huge vehicle and when your driving it you just
don't have that sense.
in many ways these things are great big cars that
have sort of a semi truck use, remember the box back
there is five and a half feet.
forget your piece of plywood.
THE TUNDRA, EVEN THE LOWER LEVEL MODELS, THIS ONE'S
ON TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN, START OUT SMOOTH AND REFINED,
UNLIKE IT'S COMPETITORS THAT START OUT RUGGED AND
GET REFINED AS YOU ADD OPTIONS.

it gets fuel economy of 13, 17 and in driving it around
in mostly highway miles the computer on the dashboard
is showing 13 point 3.
that's not good.
not good, that's unafordable.

so if they could just get the mileage up, they'd have
a winner, yeah i think the other thing is the price
is way down.
you're getting just a tremendous amount of truck for
the money, it very competitive on price, but you will
spend it on fuel.
