General Manager - Television/Digital Media:-Morgan Murphy Media is seeking an experienced broadcasting professional for an exciting and rare GM opportunity to lead its broadcast, digital, and print operations in Madison, Wisconsin (DMA #82).  The General Manager will have full oversight of our highly respected and successful Television Wisconsin, Inc. operation which includes WISC-TV (CBS), our secondary channel, TVW (MyNetworkTV), our award-winning internet site, channel3000.com, and our monthly city/regional print publication, Madison Magazine.  This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving, privately held broadcast group and duties include oversight of an exceptional operation with an experienced, dedicated, talented staff and state-of-the-art broadcast and digital facilities.

News Producer:-WISC-TV is actively searching for a News Producer to help lead our team at the #1 rated station in Madison.   We need a newsroom leader with a proven ability to deliver a high-quality, high energy newscast which appeals to our local audience.  Specific duties include working closely with the Executive Producer and Managing Editor to determine content needs and story ideas on a daily and long-term basis.  The ideal candidate will write clearly for multiple platforms, including our website. Social media proficiency is required.  The newscast producer will work with reporters and photographers on story development, and lead our Production staff with technical presentation of the newscast. Other duties include writing topical promotions, setting up live shots, editing and posting content to our website. We need a creative thinker with excellent news judgment who can deliver relevant and compelling stories every day. We prefer applicants with 1 year experience and college degree. A writing test is required.

Morning Reporter/Anchor: Do you start your day with a smile? Share it with our viewers. WISC-TV is looking for an enterprising general assignment television news reporter with the ability to tell compelling stories.  We are looking for a high-energy, creative storyteller who is ready to wake up the market with engaging live shots. Daily assignments will cover a wide spectrum from light to serious topics. This person will be a full member of our morning team and will be the primary fill-in anchor for our 2.5-hour morning newscast. Duties include turning stories on a daily basis, live reporting, and covering breaking news situations. In addition to our television newscasts, we place a strong emphasis on our award-winning website, htpp://www.channel3000.com our social networking efforts and our growing mobile digital content. We expect this position to provide on-going content contributions to all offerings.  The ideal candidate will work primarily with a photographer but should be a skilled MMJ as well.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record and could involve weekend and evening hours. Candidates for consideration will have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field, 1-2 years news reporting and anchoring, the ability to turn stories on deadline, and live reporting experience.  Prior anchoring experience is a plus.

Morning News Anchor: WISC-TV, Southern Wisconsin’s news leader, is aggressively looking for an Anchor to lead our morning newscasts from 430am to 7am.  We are seeking a strong journalist to champion our newscasts on TV, online and through social media. This person must understand the changing role of a television anchor and how to engage audiences across multiple platforms.  Qualifications include anchor and reporting experience, proficient in live shots, strong writer, and ability to work with others in a deadline situation.  We place a strong emphasis on enterprise reporting. Minimum of 3 years anchor experience preferred. Previous work on a morning show is a plus.  In addition, our award-winning website, http://www.channel3000.com leads the market and we place a premium on breaking stories online and through social media.
