Sports Anchor/Reporter: WISC-TV is searching for a Sports Anchor / Reporter for our weekend newscasts in one of the best communities in the country -- Madison, Wisconsin. We’re looking for a dynamic, high energy, engaging talent with the ability to tell the stories behind the scores. Job duties include anchoring sportscasts, shooting, editing, writing, and reporting to produce credible, informative, professional, and entertaining sports stories to attract both the sports addict and the non-sports enthusiast. We aggressively cover the Badgers and Packers but the ideal candidate will be just as enthusiastic about covering local sports and emotional storytelling. This person will also have a proven ability to engage online/mobile audiences and effectively use social media. Qualifications include a B.S. degree in Journalism or related field; 1 year experience in television sports including on-air anchoring and reporting; knowledge of journalistic standards as they relate to on-air presentation of sports stories; broad knowledge of sporting events with enthusiasm to share this with viewers; eagerness to get involved in the community; accurate and comprehensive writing skills; and ability to bring about non-traditional approaches.

News Reporter: WISC-TV, Southern Wisconsin’s number one news station in Madison, is looking for an enterprising general assignment television news reporter with the ability to tell compelling stories. Duties include turning stories on a daily basis, live reporting, and covering breaking news situations. We are looking for a creative storyteller who has the ability to find enterprise stories and deliver them to multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be both skilled at working with a photographer and as an MMJ depending on the daily assignment. In addition to our television newscasts, we place a strong emphasis on our award-winning website, htpp://www.channel3000.com, our social networking efforts, and our growing mobile digital content. We expect this position to provide on-going content contributions to all offerings. This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record and could involve weekend and evening hours.
