Managers Say Economy Is To Blame

MADISON, Wis. -- The Cardinal Bar in downtown Madison is set to close on Sunday.The popular bar has been around for more than three decades.Managers blamed the smoking ban and some hard Wisconsin winters for slowing business, but they said the current economy was the nail in the coffin.The owner is meeting with possible investors but there is no deal in place, WISC-TV reported.
