JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Workers for a popular local grocery store united in Janesville on Thursday to draw attention to ongoing labor troubles.
VIDEO: Watch The ReportUnion leaders, elected officials and workers from Woodman's rallied at Palmer Park to support union workers fighting to keep their jobs, WISC-TV reported.Rally organizers said that Woodman's is using a consultant to try and drive out the union from stores. The union has filed numerous unfair labor practice charges against Woodman's for what the union says are illegal actions against workers."All I got to say is we need to keep the good-paying jobs here in Janesville," said Kim Kutz, a Woodman's employee for 20 years. "We need good wages, good insurance, thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you all at Woodman's."WISC-TV attempted to contact Woodman's officials for comment, but its corporate offices didn't return messages.
