This photograph was taken last week on the steps of the State Capitol.
The session was arranged by One City Early Learning Centers CEO Kaleem Caire and organized by his son. It is a powerful image for the fact of its everyday simplicity.
While it might remind some of the iconic "A Great Day in Harlem" photo of 57 legendary jazz musicians in 1958, this is picture of about 100 African-American men, Madisonians who, at Caire's request, dressed as they would for their jobs that day. He called the session Real Men of Madison.
Looking at this picture, the words become unnecessary.
