What could be better than celebrating Thanksgiving next week by giving thanks for the ability to help someone else feel thankful?
WISC-TV is once again helping sponsor the annual Goodman Community Center Thanksgiving food basket drive and we could sure use your help.
Goodman is hoping to provide Thanksgiving for 3,500 families. That's a lot of turkeys and canned vegetables and fruit, jars of gravy, boxes of stuffing and mac and cheese and cans of broth and cranberry sauce. And right now they need a lot of all of the above.
Goodman's been doing this for 28 years and it's a wonderful tradition of giving and receiving. But so many families count on getting a basket and it's so hard to not have enough to go around.
The gym at Goodman is open for donation drop-offs right now through next Monday. And don't forget, cash donations are always welcome and help provide fresh foods.
Thanks for joining us in giving the gift of Thanksgiving.
