The Edgewater named one of top hotels in the Midwest

The hotel secured the only rating in Madison

MADISON, Wis. - The Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards named The Edgewater, the 6th best hotel in the Midwest.

The Edgewater was the only hotel in Madison to be named in the Top 25 Midwest hotels category and one of four hotels throughout Wisconsin.

"We are incredibly honored to be recognized by our guests and we are thrilled to be included," Amy Supple, the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, says in a release.

The Edgewater opened in 1948 along the shores of Lake Mendota and in 2012, the hotel underwent a major renovation.

This year, over 300,000 submitted millions of ratings, ultimately voting on a record-breaking 7,320 hotels and resorts, 610 cities, 225 islands, 468 cruise ships, 158 airlines and 195 airports.

"Being recognized in such a prestigious publication and - as one of the best hotels in the Midwest is a tribute to the vision of our ownership and the dedication of our entire Edgewater team," Supple says.
