Tucked behind a sub shop, this small bakery and café might be easy to pass by—but not its baking. 4 & 20 Bakery & Café crafts faultless morning buns, muffins and scones bursting with fresh fruit, and colossal pies that are truly stellar. Breakfast served all day features farm-fresh eggs prepared several ways, and adding a big buttermilk biscuit with homemade jam is a must. Imaginative sandwiches, soups and salads join the menu at lunch. Ingredients are local and flavors seasonal, not surprising considering co-owner Evan Dannells previously worked at L’Etoile.
4 & 20 is a bright new star.
