Celebrate St. Patrick's Day and March Madness

March 15
While March Madness can be fun, what might be even better is cheese madness. Head to Willy Street Co-op for the “Cheese Challenge.” Fill out a cheese bracket by March 15, choosing your favorite local Wisconsin winners. Brackets that closely match the final match-ups can win eight pounds of cheese. Free, willystreet.coop 

March 16
Start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early at the Yahara Bay Distillery. Join in sampling some of the distillery products and some other St. Patrick’s Day themed cocktails available at the bar. Wearing green can bring you luck in the form of a gift basket drawing. 5-10 p.m., facebook.com

Visit the Malt House with an all-Irish whiskey tasting. At “When Irish Guys Are Smiling,” try six different whiskeys to learn about varieties apart from the only Irish whiskey you might be familiar with, Jameson. March 16-20

Join Brocach Irish Pub & Whiskey Den at its “St. Patrick’s Day All Day” event. Start early with some green beer and whiskey of all kinds. There will be Irish music and March Madness action going until the wee hours of the morning, 9-2 a.m., facebook.com 

For one day and one day only, Karben4 Brewing will tap a Dry Stout in its taproom for St. Paddy’s Day festivities. Outside of the beer special, Lady Luck pints will be $1 off all day. Come relax, drink some beer and try some delicious food specials. 11 a.m.-10 p.m., facebook.com
