Cento 122 W Mifflin Street One of Cento's house cocktails is the Negroni di Oaxaca, which is a spicy/smoky margarita-meets-classic Negroni. It's made with a house serrano-infused tequila, Xicaru Silver Mezcal, Campari, Carpano Antica, lime, grapefruit and then topped with a Steigl Radler foam.
Forequarter 708 ¼ E. Johnson St. The house margarita, appearing on Forequarter's late night classics menu (10pm to close Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) pairs well with the late night Torta, beverage director Mark Bystrom says. It's garnished with an orange zest, and they do a salt solution rather than a salt rim, so as to evenly distribute the salinity. If you're one who can't resist a bit of crunchy salt, the bar staff is more than willing to oblige, Bystrom says.
Heritage Tavern 131 E Mifflin St. This is the Ancho and Leftie, which is Heritage Tavern's take on a margarita. It's smokey, spicy flavor is courtesy of Milagro Silver, Ancho Reyes (chili pepper liquor), agave, lime, parsley and black pepper-steeped Del Maguey vida mezcal. The rim is dried ancho pepper, salt and sugar.
A Pig in a Fur Coat 940 Williamson St. If you're near Willy Street, duck into A Pig in a Fur Coat and take a seat at the bar ( nearly a year old addition to the restaurant) and enjoy A Pig's take on a margarita—the spiced apple cider cordial.
