While Realty Executives has gone through changes in recent years, its supportive atmosphere has remained constant.

Dan Spransy, after operating an independent brokerage the previous six years, partnered with the Realty Executives global brand in August 2012. His local firm, called Realty Executives Cooper Spransy, grew from six to 25 agents in an 18-month span upon joining the Phoenix-based company. Cooper Spransy has expanded to 60 agents.

Spransy says the firm’s sales have increased almost 30 percent compared to the same time last year. In 2015, Cooper Spransy sold 603 units.

Madison native Matt Winzenried says his performance has flourished due to the firm’s collaborative nature. He’s worked with Spransy for a decade.

“You can knock on somebody’s door, pop in and ask a question; it’s really open source,” Winzenried says. “If someone has something that’s working, maybe a marketing campaign that works, we’re really quick to share with each other.”
Spransy says one-on-one mentorship and a cutting-edge training program are critical components to Realty Executives’ prosperity mentality.

“We wanted to really pour (knowledge) into our executives,” Spransy says. “There’s curriculum and it’s like going to college. You have to complete your homework to get to the next step. That’s not common in our industry.”

The eclectic layout at the firm’s west side office lends itself to a variety of work styles. The space has an urban, industrial feel with vaulted ceilings and airy space, plus barn-wood-accented walls. The emphasis with the interior design was to convey creativity and calmness, in addition to a relaxing atmosphere.

Realty Executives allows agents to run their own practice. If executives choose to work out of a house or coffee shop, they’re free to drop by the office to make copies and hold meetings.

“You can kind of recharge your batteries and kind of know that you have people there to lean on and support you,” Winzenried says. “You’re never on an island."
