Church Raising Money For Janesville Toddler With Brain Tumor

Posted: 11:19 a.m. CDT September 15, 2003

News 3 first told you in May about a Janesville boy's battle with a brain tumor.

Now, 15-month-old Elijah Harnack-Cotton is at Massachusetts General Hospital being treated with proton beam radiation.

To help pay for expenses, friends of the family organized a rummage sale over the weekend.

First Lutheran Church will match the amount of money raised, and the total will go to helping the family.

"People have been wonderful," said Jan Anderson, of Janesville, who works with Elijah's mom. "They've given their time, money, love and support. It's been wonderful."

Elijah will need more than 30 treatments over the next six weeks.
