MADISON, Wis. -- A realistic exhibit at a local church is brining the story of AIDS in Africa to Madison this weekend. The World Vision Experience AIDS display is travelling the nation to educate people on how the disease has affected African children. For the exhibit, the Blackhawk Church gymnasium has been transformed into an African village. Organizers said that following the footsteps of children with AIDS is unforgettable."It's just really powerful because you are connecting with that one child, and every single person that comes out of the exhibit is moved in one way or another, because HIV and AIDS is not a statistic anymore -- it's a face; it's a child. It could just as much be their child," said Jessica Ohlsen, with World Vision Experience AIDS.All the children's stories are real, and visitors can touch and see the interactive displays. The exhibit will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 10 p.m. and on Monday until 9 p.m. Tickets are free but are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
