Testosterone Diet Is For Men Only

Many people have heard that to lose weight, you have to eat low-fat foods.

But according to a new diet, that's not so.

The diet's plan that has about 40 percent of your calories comes from fat.

But there's a catch. It's for men only.

The testosterone diet is being touted in Men's Health magazine. Some doctors said that since testosterone helps men burn calories and build muscle, men should increase their levels of it.

According to the diet, the way to do that is to eat more foods that are higher in fat.

"You can have a very healthy diet at 30 to 40 percent of your calories coming from fat," said Dr. Penny Ross, a registered dietitian. "In fact, many of the diets I plan for my clients are based somewhere in that range. He has a lot of nuts in his meals, he has low-fat cottage cheese, low-fat milk."

The diet also recommends lifting weights, instead of aerobic activity, because it also helps boost testosterone production.
