Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line Offers Free Help For Smoking Soldiers
Program Open To Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans

MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line says that it wants to help Wisconsin soldiers break the smoking habit.The group's Operation Quit Tobacco program offers free help to soldiers who want to give up smoking.Soldiers who call get two-week starter kits of nicotine patches or nicotine gum. The kits also include information on medication available through the U.S. Veterans Administration.Callers also will get coaching from the Quit Line. The line will call soldiers at agreed-upon times and offer help.Any soldier on active duty, in the Wisconsin National Guard or in the reserves are eligible. All veterans can also participate.
