La Crosse Students Go Green By Dumpster Diving

Event Held On Campus

UPDATED: 9:17 am CDT April 22, 2008

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse students got in the green spirit by going Dumpster diving.

Students emptied a Dumpster near the clock tower on campus and sorted the recyclables from the trash, WISC-TV reported.

Organizers said the Dumpster dive was a way to encourage recycling on campus by letting students know that much of what is thrown into the trash can actually be recycled.
