The Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition, or MACSAC, whipped up a breakfast favorite on Sunday morning -- pancakes for a good cause.

The vegan pancakes were part of a fundraiser to support efforts to bring food grown on Wisconsin farms to local dinner tables. Organizers said the event helps get the word out about buying local, WISC-TV reported.

"What we do is help consumers get local food, and so this is a celebration really to kick off the growing season and we've had some wonderful donations and greetings from farms, but also to educate people on what we're all about," said MACSAC's Erin Schneider.
