Forecast For April 24, 2017

Today will be mostly sunny and continued mild with highs in the lower 70s. Winds will increase out of the south to southeast as high pressure shifts to the east and a trough of low pressure begins to approach from the west. Tonight will be partly cloudy and milder with temperatures falling to around 50 degrees by early Tuesday morning.

A weather system will affect Wisconsin from later Tuesday into early Thursday. Tuesday will be increasingly cloudy, breezy and continued mild with high temperatures in the lower 70s. There will be a slight chance of showers on Tuesday afternoon, although showers will become more likely Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy and cooler with scattered showers continuing. High temperatures will drop back to the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. On Thursday, skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be breezy and cool with showers ending as the weather system moves away. Some afternoon sunshine is possible, although high temperatures will stay in the 50s.

A stronger storm system will develop for the end of the week. Friday will be increasingly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will top out in the upper 50s. As the storm system moves through the region over the weekend, it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s on Saturday, and the lower 60s on Sunday. 

As the system departs to the northeast, showers will come to an end next Monday and highs will be near 60 degrees. Tuesday will be partly sunny and cool with high temperatures in the upper 50s. Another weather system will bring mostly cloudy and breezy weather for Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 60s.
