Cookin' with Karin: Grilled Stuffed Trout

Week 3: Kathi Goulet of Montello's Recipe

All measurements are "to taste."

  • 1 fresh trout
  • cream cheese
  • lemon juice
  • thin sliced onion
  • garlic

    Stuff the trout with the above ingredients, triple wrap with aluminum foil, cook on the grill for 45 min to 1 hour.

    The beauty of this is that it's like pizza, what ever you like (fresh tomato, black olives, mushrooms, etc.) is ok. The cream cheese keeps it moist and seems to flood the fish with a wonderful creamy flavor.

    NOTES: This is as good at an ice fishing outing as a summer BBQ. And it's extremely easy. -- Kathi Goulet, Montello
