If you tried to capture the essence of summer and turn it into a cocktail, what would it taste like?

It'd need to be cold and refreshing, probably a bit sweet or fruity, maybe a little tart. It would have to capture the carefree, sunny mood of the season--and be something you could lazily sip all afternoon.

Well, Christy's Landing may have done it with their Waubesa Weed Tea. A combination of tea and fruit flavors grounded by dark rum, the drink is balanced and smooth. While it's simple enough to mix up at home, it might taste even better at Christy's, where you can soak up the sights of Lake Waubesa, play volleyball and listen to live music on the weekends.

Each summer Christy's highlights a cocktail, but owner Eric Christenson thinks the Waubesa Weed Tea outshines drinks of years past. "This is a special one," he says. "You'll want it this summer."

RECIPE: Waubesa Weed Tea

In a martini shaker, combine:

1 oz Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea Vodka
3/4 oz dark rum
2 oz sweet and sour mix
2 oz soda water
Splash of lemon juice
Splash of orange juice

Shake well and pour in a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon, lime or orange slice and a tea leaf.
