Life moves fast. Our days can fill to the brim, with seemingly no time to take a breath and savor what's around us.

Could a cocktail change all this?

Well, one is trying. Sloth is part of Café Montmartre's series of mixed drinks named after the seven deadly sins. A zesty combination of Kilo Kai spiced rum, Apple Pie liqueur, Goldschlager cinnamon liqueur, honey and fresh lemon, it's served warm and meant to be sipped slowly.

Sloth has proved popular, especially with the after-work crowd, says manager Michael Hanson. The drink helps them unwind without fizzling out for the night. "There's a good kick to it," he says.

Served in a brandy sifter, the gold cocktail is complexly flavored, with lemon adding lightness. It makes me think, if being slothful is wrong, then maybe I don't want to be right--at least for one happy hour.

RECIPE: Sloth Cocktail

In a brandy sifter, combine:

1 1/2 oz Kilo Kai spiced rum
1 1/2 oz Apple Pie liqueur
3/4 oz Goldschlager
3/4 oz honey (or a half water-half honey mixture)
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice

Top with 2 oz hot water. Stir and garnish with a lemon wedge.
