More Funding Approved For Porchlight
Non-Profit Group Will Use Money To Buy Two Homes

MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Common Council has approved more funding for Porchlight, a non-profit shelter and affordable housing group.The group will use the $475,000 in matched funds to help buy two more homes.The six-unit home on the corner of Blair Street and East Johnson Avenue will be permanent housing for veterans.The other home, a seven-unit building on East Mifflin Street, will be a transitional home for men.
