MADISON, Wis. -- With the doors of Madison's Catholic Multicultural Center now closed for good, supporters of the center are holding vigil.Volunteers and staff members stood outside the facility Saturday to promise they will find some way to serve the community's most vulnerable. The diocese announced the center's closure May 27, citing budget problems. But supporters said hope will help them through the sudden closure."It's not necessarily a protest," said Ramona Natera, of Saturday's event. "It's more of a vigil and a coming together, to say that just because these doors are closed doesn't mean we aren't going to open other doors."The Latino Support Network said they will hold a meeting on Wednesday, June 3, with other faith-based programs to brainstorm ideas for the future.
