Donna's Blueberry Chutney With Warm Brie

Your guests will rave about this unusual tasty appetizer.

1 teaspoon butter or margarine

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons cider vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

8 ounces Brie cheese

In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add onions and cook over medium heat until soft and translucent. Add ginger, cinnamon, brown sugar, vinegar, and cornstarch. Stir to mix. Add blueberries and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute and remove from heat. Cool to room temperature.

Place Brie cheese on microwave safe serving dish. Microwave for 1 - 2 minutes or just until warm. Spoon blueberry chutney on top.

Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.

Note: In place of Brie, serve sauce over reduced fat cream cheese.
