MADISON, Wis. -- Rhythm & Booms is set for Saturday and is expected to be even bigger and better.

Coordinators say plans include fireworks synchronized to the live beats of the Madison Symphony Orchestra and live statewide coverage on Wisconsin Public Television.

"Only here do we see 1,000 volunteers, 200 businesses participating, a charity running the event and really it's all for the celebration of how beautiful the city county and state is," said Terry Kelly, president of the Madison Fireworks Fund.

Since it's start, Rhythm and Boom has given more than $300,000 to local children's charities, Kelly said.
