According to "Access Hollywood," Mary-Kate Olsen's publicist Michael Pagnotta issued a statement Tuesday, saying that the actress has "recently entered a treatment facility to seek professional help for a health-related issue. She is thankful for the encouragement and support of her friends and family who are with her every step of the way."

Later, Pagnotta reportedly told "Access Hollywood" that the issue was "eating-related."

Mary-Kate, the brunette half of the Olsen twins, still plans to attend New York University this fall and will be traveling later this summer, according to the statement.

The sisters turned 18 on June 13. They recently graduated from high school and both plan to attend New York University in the fall.

The fraternal twins started in the entertainment business at 9 months old, sharing a role in the hit sitcom "Full House." They've since gone on to create their own home-video and merchandising dynasty.
