Julia Roberts shares a home in California with her husband, Danny Moder, but she has always maintained a place in New York as well. And it looks like now that she's expecting twins, she's hoping to do a little more nesting in New York.

The new People Magazine shows Julia and Danny taking a Malibu stroll just last week, right before letting the world in on their happy little secret. But apparently the babies will take their first breaths across the continent.

New York, New York will welcome the new twin residents early next year. People is reporting that Roberts has chosen the city for the births because she feels it's her hometown. After all, Julia began her lover affair with Manhattan at the tender age of 17, having moved there with dreams of stardom immediately after her high school graduation in small town Smyrna, Georgia.

Julia's due next week to join George Clooney and the boys in Lake Como, Italy, where Clooney conveniently owns a home, as they resume shooting their crime caper sequel, "Ocean's 12."
