MADISON, Wis. -- Some local children are excited for a new playground they helped design.Children from the Wexford Ridge neighborhood on Madison's West Side selected a new playground Monday from three designs, each inspired by drawings they gave to Kraft Foods.Kraft is paying for the $75,000 project. Officials said the only playgrounds in the area are unsafe. They said the children had plenty of ideas for the new playground."A few weeks ago we came here and had the best playground designers -- the kids designing playgrounds. And they had a lot of energy, lots of slides, lots of swirly slides," said Syd Lindner, a Kraft Foods representative."I really like the swings and monkey bars and all that. So now in case I'm bored I can just go to the park and have fun," said Anthony Cox, who voted on the playground. On Oct. 6, Kraft employees will build the entire structure near the Lussier Community Education Center on Gammon Road.Kraft said it plans to build 12 other playgrounds in communities around the country this fall.
