Organizers Putting Final Touches On Freakfest

Organizers, City Officials To Present Information Monday

Organizers said they are putting the final touches on plans for this year's Freakfest, Madison's huge city-sanctioned Halloween celebration on State Street.

On Monday, representatives from Frank Productions, the mayor's office, Madison police and other city officials will present more information on traffic, gating, ticketing and entertainment for the event.

The event will be Oct. 31 and take up all of State Street from the Capitol Square to Library Mall with three stages of entertainment. It starts at 7 p.m.

The band Third Eye Blind is headlining the event, and other musical acts are set to perform, including Cage the Elephant, Push Play, Locksley, The Nod and Fever Marlene.

Tickets are now on sale for $7 per person and $10 the day of the event.

Patrons can look for posters in business windows featuring the Freakfest logo that say "Freakfest Tickets On Sale Here" to buy tickets in advance.

Tickets are also available at the Coliseum box office, Ticketmaster, by phone at 608-255-4646 and online at www.frankproductions.com.
