MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra said an ongoing strike by musicians has forced the Halloween concert to be canceled. The WCO said that on Tuesday the musicians refused to give any assurance that they will end their strike and commit to play the Halloween concert on Oct. 24 while still negotiating their contract.Contract negotiations between management of WCO and the union for its 34 musicians broke down, leading to a strike by musicians early this month that canceled the season's first indoor concert with a guest violinist from Japan.
