MADISON, Wis. -- After a rocky season because of weather, the Madcity Ski Team looked as good as ever as they performed the last ski show of the year on Lake Monona. The team finished first place in state and national ski shows, which is a remarkable accomplishment considering the little practice they had.Since June, flooding made local lakes unusable and nearby Lake Wisconsin was tainted with blue-green algae."It's a little bit sad because we've been working so hard together," said ski team member Kristen Block. "We're like a family. It's really nice to be back in Madison and be able to do our regular show. We didn't know if that would happen for sure."The no-wake ban was lifted on Lake Monona a few weeks ago.
