Madison Children's Museum Unveils Plans
Officials Hope To Raise $10M

MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Children's Museum took the first steps toward making its new building a reality on MondayMuseum officials unveiled plans for its new $10 million facility, which will be located at 100 N. Hamilton St. in the city's downtown.When it opens in 2010, the new building will be five times the museum's current size, and will feature a rooftop terrace with gardens and play areas, as well a children’s clubhouse and greenhouse, WISC-TV reported.The “Ready, Set … Grow!” campaign is responding to the record growth that's predicted for Dane County. The Jerome Frautschi Foundation donated $5 million.Museum officials said that they hope to raise $10 million more.
