Public Enemies Filming Shifts To Downtown Oshkosh

Movie Has Filmed In Columbus, Darlington

UPDATED: 8:08 am CDT April 14, 2008

Shooting in Oshkosh for the movie "Public Enemies" is expected to shift from the airport to downtown for about four days of filming this week.

The cast and crew had been shooting at Wittman Regional Airport, but began moving trailers near Main Street on Saturday.

Onlooker Kim Biggar said the movie about 1930s American gangsters being filmed in Oshkosh is just great for the city.

Crews continued their work downtown through the snow and rain over the weekend, laying cobblestone strips throughout the intersection of North Main Street and Algoma Boulevard.

Most of the stars apparently traveled back to Chicago over the weekend, but at least one restaurant owner said he served lunch to director Michael Mann.
