Some local dads decided that they would do whatever it takes to get their children a ticket -- even if that means dressing up like Hannah Montana.

The Hannah MANtana contest is the brain child of WMAD Radio (96.3 Star Country) and their DJs, John Flint and Tammy Lee.

"I think I'm a little bit nuts doing this," contestant Kevin Keller said. "It's something I can't imagine I'd ever do in my entire life. I can't believe I'm doing it."

Keller, who's a carpenter when he's not posing as Hannah Montana, was one of five dads chosen to compete for a pair of tickets to see Hannah Montana this weekend. Each had to write an essay. Keller's daughter, Danielle, said the writing got him a spot as a contestant.

"He said he could scream better than any teenage girl and that every mother in the place would be jealous of this 42-year-old man, jumping, screaming, waving his hands," Danielle Keller said.

Kevin Keller said he had no idea about the dressing and posing part of the contest, but he still took part. The contest rules were strict: no moving and no breaks -- contestants just had to pose for as along as they can.

Tickets for the concert are going for as much as $580 for a single ticket, WISC-TV reported.

"It's hottest ticket in town. It sold out in the blink of an eye," 96.3 Star Country's John Flint said.

"I just ran into someone at the grocery store and she said, 'We're spending $400 on a pair of tickets,'" 96.3 Star Country's Tammy Lee said. "I said, 'You got off easy!'"

But the dads in the contest didn't have it easy on Thursday. It took five hours for the first dad to drop out. Only the best "MANtana" would win the tickets, and contestants on Thursday said they were in it for the long haul.

The contest ended at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Manuel Molinarez, of Middleton, won a pair of tickets to Hannah Montana after lasting more than eight hours.
