SHULLSBURG, Wis. -

Authorities said a Shullsburg school was locked down for about an hour Thursday morning due to a reported disorderly conduct incident.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department said deputies assisted the Shullsburg Police Department with the investigation of a disorderly conduct incident reported at Shullsburg High School.

Authorities said they found furniture turned over in a classroom, which is what prompted the lockdown.

The sheriff's department said a high school student was taken into custody and is being treated at Memorial Hospital in Darlington due to suspected illicit drug use.

Shullsburg High School was locked down from about 10:18 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

No injuries to students or staff were reported.
