UW chancellor finalists named
Four candidates will visit campus
Four finalists will be interviewed for the position of University of Wisconsin chancellor, according to a release from the UW System.
The four candidates are:
Dr. Rebecca M. Blank, Acting Secretary of Commerce
United States Department of Commerce, Washington, D.C.
Blank will visit campus March 13
Dr. Nicholas P. Jones, Benjamin T. Rome Dean, Whiting School of Engineering
The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md.
Jones will visit campus March 5
Dr. Michael H. Schill, Dean and Harry N. Wyatt Professor of Law and Professor in the College
University of Chicago Law School, Chicago, Ill.
Schill will visit campus March 7
Dr. Kim A. Wilcox, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich.
Wilcox will visit campus March 11
The candidates will be in Madison to participate in public forums from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on the dates they visit campus. All candidates will be interviewed by UW System President Kevin Reilly and a special committee of the UW Board of Regents on March 15.
Biddy Martin stepped down in 2011 after her bid to split the Madison campus from the rest of the UW System failed.
David Ward is serving as the school's interim chancellor.
