Meeting Held Tuesday

UPDATED: 3:14 pm CDT July 15, 2008

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction held a public hearing Tuesday on proposed rules related to state special education aid.

The rules establish specific percentages for salary for staff members who work with students with disabilities.

The rules would replace a number of bureaucratic steps that district officials follow in order to get reimbursements.

Any comments about the meeting can be sent to the Department of Public Instruction by e-mail at lori.slauson@dpi.wi.gov. Individuals wishing to respond can also send letters to DPI 125 South Webster Street , P.O. Box 7841, Madison, WI 53707-7841
